A former recruiter, Allison turned to web development after discovering her hidden passion for programming and following through on that passion with a career change.
Joining the growing development team at AdPuzl, Allison will be focused on helping the team improve the features and functionality of our ad builder tool for beginners.

How did you first learn about Sidi.io & AdPuzl?
I found Sidi.io & AdPuzl while I was searching on LinkedIn for my first developer job!
I was really excited to be contacted for an interview after I applied.
The team seemed really friendly and the tech stack was something I was (and am!) super interested to be working with.
What made you decide to pursue coding?
I’ve always been really interested in the tech industry. I’m surrounded by engineers in my friend group and family; I’m chronically online and spend way too much time at my computer; I love building, problem-solving, and learning about how things work.
In my previous career as a recruiter, my goal was to specialize in the tech industry as my way of contributing to a space that I love.
I wanted to find these great developers and connect them with exciting projects.
Over time, I realized I wanted to become that great developer instead. I learned that I didn’t have to count myself out of learning a new skill because I was afraid I would fail.
What is your favourite quote?
This feels like cheating, but I have a favourite poem and it’s too long to quote in its entirety.
It’s called Ithaka by C.P. Cavafy. I think everyone should read it – it’s my honest answer every time someone asks me what my favourite quote is.
People would be surprised if they knew ____ about you?
People seem surprised when they learn I’ve never had a cavity before.
What are your favourite hobbies outside of work?
As previously mentioned, I waste a lot of time on the internet. I’m also really into video games (big fan of story-based, choices matter type stuff), I’m an amateur plant mom, and I read sometimes (mostly in the colder months for some reason).
