Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive SEO Specialist to join our marketing team. You will be instrumental in developing and executing our search engine optimization strategy to drive organic growth, improve search rankings, and increase brand visibility. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and a forward-looking approach to the evolving landscape of search, including Generative Search Engine Optimization (GEO).


Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive SEO strategy that aligns with our business goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Generative AI & Content:
    • Conduct Generative Search Engine Optimization (GEO) to understand how AI-powered search results and Large Language Models (LLMs) are impacting user behavior.
    • Adapt content strategies to perform well in both traditional organic results and new generative search experiences.
    • Identify opportunities to create high-quality, comprehensive content that meets the needs of both users and generative AI models.
  • On-Page & Technical SEO:
    • Perform in-depth keyword research to identify high-value content opportunities and fill content gaps.
    • Optimize website content, including metadata, headings, internal linking, and image attributes, to improve search engine performance.
    • Conduct technical SEO audits and collaborate with our development team to resolve issues related to site speed, mobile usability, crawling, and indexing.
  • Off-Page SEO:
    • Manage and expand our backlink profile through strategic outreach, guest posting, and partnership initiatives.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Monitor performance using tools like Google Search Console and analytics platforms.
    • Track, analyze, and report on key SEO metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve:
    • Keep up-to-date with the latest search engine algorithm updates, industry trends, and the rapid advancements in AI-driven search.

Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in an SEO Specialist or similar role.
  • Core SEO Knowledge: A strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and the principles of both technical and content-based SEO.
  • Generative Search:
    • Knowledge of how generative AI and LLMs are shaping the search landscape.
    • Experience or a keen interest in Generative Search Engine Optimization (GEO).
  • Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with a variety of SEO and analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
  • Technical Basics: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic web development principles.
  • Content Management: Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Summary

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Growth Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring new clients, expanding existing accounts, and promoting Sidi.io’s services. You will work closely with our leadership and marketing teams to develop proposals, deliver tailored solutions, and maintain long-term client relationships. This position requires strong communication skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Core Responsibilities

Client Acquisition & Sales

  • Build and close sales opportunities from inbound leads and self-generated prospects (via inbound marketing, LinkedIn, cold calling, Zoom, networking events, etc.).
  • Conduct needs assessments to understand client challenges and collaborate with the team to create effective digital marketing strategies.
  • Develop and present proposals to prospective clients.
  • Manage sales opportunities within the CRM and prepare contracts in the Ignition App platform.
  • Exceed individual and company sales targets.

Client Success & Relationship Management

  • Support clients during onboarding, kickoff calls, and strategy development to ensure a smooth launch and long-term success.
  • Maintain ongoing client relationships through proactive communication, strategic updates, and upselling opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Demand Generation team to deliver exceptional client experiences.

Brand Promotion & Events

  • Represent Sidi.io at tradeshows, networking events, and other industry functions.
  • Attend client and internal strategy sessions as required.

Strategic Contribution

  • Play an active role in refining and executing sales and operational growth strategies.
  • Contribute to business development process improvements and sales operations efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in business development, sales, or account management (digital marketing experience is an asset).
  • Sales Skills: Proven ability to generate leads, manage pipelines, and close deals. Experience with a proven sales methodology (ie: SPIN, etc.)
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Tools: Proficiency with CRM systems and virtual meeting tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
  • Mindset: Self-motivated, target-driven, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Location: Ottawa-based preferred; ability to travel occasionally for events and client meetings.
