Sidi.io has grown a lot in the past year which is why we wanted to take this time to highlight each and every one of our team members.

Originally from England and a lover of all things potatoes, say hello to Michael Crow!

Michael Crow, Director of Performance Marketing

How do you balance your career at Sidi.io and your family?

Sidi.io is a big believer in work-life balance, so it’s not really too challenging.

What is the weirdest job you’ve ever had?

I once worked as an assistant to a tile setter. We had this one job in a hotel owned by the local “mafia” and it seemed to go on forever, like 6 months. Towards the end of the contract, one of my jobs was to grout the “boss’s” hallway in his penthouse suite and while I was doing so, his wife started chatting me up (or at least that’s what I thought she was doing). I got really nervous, politely made my excuses, and quickly got out of there without sealing the grout!

What is on your wish list for the next 10 years with Sidi.io?

Realistically, I would really like to see the company grow to manage a really large portfolio of businesses, big and small. I would also really like for us to open offices internationally, in countries such as the UK and the USA.

Do you have a favourite quote?

“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”

What is your favourite meal?

Fish & Chips from one of the following places:

  1. Barton Fish & Chips.
  2. Maci’s Fish & Chips in Luton.

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?

Me! Who else could do it justice?! If someone had to be cast as me, they’d better get the swagger right!

If your house was burning down, What is the one nonliving thing you would save?

I pondered over this for quite some time, but I would have to choose my Epiphone Casino.

Top three life highlights?

    1. The birth of my children.
    2. Meeting my wife.
    3. Coming to Canada!

What is something you’ve always wanted to try?

Apparently, in Japan, there’s a type of strawberry that is so delicious that they cost $500 each. I would like to try one of those!

Would you rather be a tiny elephant or a giant hamster?

Hmmm… being a giant hamster seems like it could be alright. Not sure what I would eat though! Could be a major pain in the arse for the Elephant – he would have to adapt very quickly!
