Team Member Spotlight: Lesley Mondor

Our company has experienced tremendous growth recently. Due to this, we wanted to take the time to put each of our amazing team members in the spotlight!

Without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today.

Lesley Mondor, Client Success Specialist

What’s your favourite thing about your role?: Personally, I’m a jack-of-all-trades kind of girl and I enjoy that. If you throw something at me, I’ll figure it out. Well, aside from sales…. I don’t want to touch that aspect of the company so I’ll leave that to the pros lol, but I love being able to help out everyone and keep our systems organized. This makes the day-to-day processes run smoother and the team can focus on their tasks at hand.

Do you have any nicknames?: Hahah recently I’ve been nicknamed The Badger. And no, not because they’re cute or anything, simply because one part of my job is to stay on top of our clients for items and/or tasks that the team is waiting on. This allows them to carry on with their day-to-day tasks, while I am that annoying person who follows up and stays on top of them to get the job done.

What do you like most about Sidi.io?: I love the amazing group of people that I work with. It is such a positive environment to work in from upper management to all of my colleagues. When you get to have fun at work, all while helping clients and getting the job done, it just makes for a better experience all around.

What has been your favourite project at Sidi.io?: They have all been fun, but I’d say taking my Asana courses and becoming a Certified Asana Ambassador this year. It was nice to be able to gain that knowledge in our project management system and then be able to help the team stay organized and on top of their tasks.

Favourite travel spot?: I love vacationing anywhere down south but Florida is my fav! My husband and I drove down with the kids one year for 2.5 weeks and were able to take them to Disney which was always a dream to share with my own kids. We then drove down again for our honeymoon in 2016 and spent another 2 weeks there between Vero Beach & Orlando. I can’t wait until my youngest son and soon-to-be daughter are old enough that we can take the whole family again!

Motto or personal mantra?: Live. Love. Laugh

This is a motto that has been in my life since I was little. My grandma has a gold necklace that she has worn for as long as I can remember, that has that saying on it and it’s always stuck with me. I love to laugh and always live to the fullest!

What are three career lessons you’ve learned thus far?: One big one is that change is okay. In my past job, we went through a lot of change in a short time and you have to learn to accept it and embrace it and do the best you can. You will always come out the other side if you work hard and do the best you can.

Another big one for me is that money doesn’t always make you happy. Being in a negative environment can suck the life right out of you even with a decent paycheque. I’ve learned that being in a positive environment surrounded by joyful people in addition to a good paycheque can really brighten your day and that’s what is important to me these days.

What is your hidden talent?: I played competitive hockey for the majority of my life. Not what people would think of when looking at me but, it’s my fav sport and I loved playing it. My position was defence and my job was to not allow players to get near the net so I spent a fair bit of time in the penalty box!

What does a typical day look like for you?: A typical day for me involves waking up and chasing after my toddler! My eldest son is in grade 7 and currently doing remote learning from home, so on top of chasing around my toddler I’m also helping him with his school work. I’m currently 8 months pregnant so that adds some fun into my day … like multiple bathroom breaks! When it’s nap time for my little one, Mommy gets to work with adults yah! This is where I get to join the Sidi.io team for a couple hours and get some work done while my house is more so on the quiet side. After nap and work time it’s chill time, or walk time if I haven’t already gone in the A.M. By the P.M. I’m pretty exhausted and can’t do much else but sit back and put my feet up with some ice-cold….water!
