6 Thought-Provoking Sales Mantras

6 Thought-Provoking Sales Mantras

You feel jaded or exhausted with carrying the pressure to sell, sell, sell.

It seems you can’t find the groove you once had and you need a mental shift to get going again.

To get activity levels back to where they were requires a personal boost.

I find looking at things in a new way can help significantly in improving the resilience required to be a strong, consistent salesperson.

Often it can take looking at yourself and sales career in a new light.

A fresh perspective allows you to reboot your entire life and achieve new exciting challenges.

Here I present my 6 mantras and their meanings that can be applied to every aspect of your life including your sales career:

We give so much attention to what’s in the mirror that we forget to look at ourselves from someone else’s perspective.

Meaning: Pay attention to your client’s needs instead of your commission cheque.

It’s naive to believe that your existence is so unique that you choose to never consider that there are varying degrees of human (e)quality that are not on any binary spectrum.

Meaning: Sales is not black or white, good or bad, yes or no – understand that there are conditions to every situation that are beyond your control and recognize the variables within your influence.

We carry so strongly the rules of society that we ostracize ourselves from potential happiness that we never realized existed.

Meaning: Our world is built on rules that are made by humans and evolve by society. It is ok to look outside the scope of what is considered normal to find a solution. The greatest inventions were seen as stupid before they existed.

The pursuit of engagement made every dollar that ever existed.

Meaning: Humans love to make money but the bonds that are formed through human interaction are what makes us wealthy.

The strength of an empty canvas crushes us from ever painting a masterpiece.

Meaning: Our main barrier to success is starting a goal. If you believe in yourself and believe in your passion and end goal you will find the fortitude to start somewhere.

Don’t let the reflection of your past self-dictate your future belief system; history only repeats itself if you allow it.

Meaning: Forget the old cliché – you have more power to control your destiny than you have ever believed. There are no time for excuses – embrace rejection, learn, tweak, and prove your critics wrong.

Good affirmations to go by! Attitude is the mind’s paintbrush…you color it the way you wish, not what other people are coloring with.

Well said Riaz. “The strength of an empty canvas crushes us from ever painting a masterpiece.” Agree with this the most. We are too scared of taking risks that we will never know what the result would be. When in sales, you have to be a risk taker.
